Club members attending an informational meeting on Saturday, Aug. 15, about the Club having a breakwater in Carter Lake voted that a committee be formed to research and draft a business plan for a breakwater. The business plan is to include suggested breakwater system(s), the projected cost to put a breakwater in Carter Lake and take out yearly, the anticipated annual cost and replacement cost for maintenance and reserve, the impact on the Club’s liability insurance, financing options and an analysis of the return on investment by reducing the wear and tear on the docks. This business plan is to be presented and discussed at the Club’s next business meeting. Mike Gurley will serve as lead on this committee.
