When Club members John Krueger, Jim Kuiken, Andrew Watson and Mike Glenn looked over a 22-foot Harris pontoon and agreed that it would be great race committee boat to replace “Trophy,” they also agreed that the purchase hinged on two items: an on-water test and an engine diagnostic test. John and Jim took the boat out for an on-water test and gave the boat a thumbs-up. The engine diagnostic test showed no surprises. Bottomline: Carter Lake Sailing Club has a new-to-us race committee boat.
