Two events are happening this Saturday, May 16: 1) new member orientation; and 2) our
Club’s first potluck of the season.
The new member orientation meeting will begin at 4:15 pm followed by a happy hour, then dinner at around 5:30. The eboard is providing the main course–chili and a few other dishes– and other Club members will fill in with appetizers, side dish and dessert. New members will be guests this time around and do not need to contribute to the meal. The first potluck is all about you and how happy we are to welcome you to the Cub.
New members should be prepared to share something fun about themselves that we might not know. Perhaps you’ve gone over Niagara Falls in a barrel or maybe your second cousin is Kevin Bacon, or maybe you just retired. Any fact will do. The rest of us at the potluck will then guess who did what.
