65th Open Regatta in the History Book

Sixteen boats competed in the CLSC 65th Open Regatta, June 1 and 2, on Carter Lake. Winds varied from barely there to extremely challenging at 32 to 35 knots.

When the times were entered, the score sheets revealed the following winners:

• Santana 20 Fleet: 1st, Skippy, Jim Bogner & Crew; and 2nd, Gherkin, Raymond McCleery

• J22 Fleet: 1st, I’ll Have Another, Mike Glenn & Crew; 2nd, CAVU, Nancy VanDeMark & Crew; and 3rd, Joy, Andrew Watson & Crew

• PHRF A Fleet: 1st, Hot Girl Summer, Joss Quarantillo & Crew; 2nd, Mucho Gusto, Craig Huey & Crew; and 3rd, Love Apple, John Krueger & Crew

• PHRF B Fleet: 1st, Knae, John Clarkson & Crew; 2nd, Driftwood, Steve Wood & Crew; and 3rd, Jordyn Brooke, Jeremiah Sailer & Crew

• PHRF C Fleet: 1st,Amazing Grace, Jim Foy & Crew; and 2nd, Rum Down, Bill Fritz & Crew; and 3rd, Njord, Matthew Reue & Crew
